     NOx represent a family of seven compounds. Actually, EPA regulates only nitrogen dioxide (NO2) as surrogate for family of this compound because it is the most prevelant form of NOx in atmosphere that is generated by anthropogenic (human) activities. NO  is not only an important air pollutant by itself, but also reacts  in the atmosphere to form ozone(O) and acid rain.

    The International Ozone Day  2016 and its  Focal   Theme,  Ozone and Climate: Restored by a World United speaks volumes.  Historically the  resolution no. 49/114 of the UN General Assembly in 1994,  proclaimed 16th  September the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer,  thus commemorating the date of the signing,  initially in 1987, of the Montreal Protocol. This protocol was mainly on the substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer which were considered detrimental for its levels in the stratosphere.  It is only gas which is both .i e., very useful in the upper layer of stratosphere therefore its presence is must however it is a pollutant and harmful in the layer of atmosphere where humankind exits.  This special day is held on September 16th to mark the day back in 1987 when the Montreal Protocol was signed. World Ozone Day has been celebrated since 1994 and was established by the United Nations General Assembly. States were invited to devote the Day to promote activities in accordance with the objectives of the Protocol and its amendments. The day is mainly intended to spread awareness of the depletion of the Ozone Layer and search for solutions to preserve it.  People from all over the world are expected to gather in Montreal the beautiful city of Canada   every year on September 16th.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ambitious Smart City project in Jaipur and Udaipur, envisaging availability of modern amenities with improved urban infrastructure in the two Rajasthan cities, through video-conferencing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex in Pune.Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje outlined the mission statements for the smart cities and thanked him for selecting Jaipur, Udaipur, Ajmer and Kota towns of the State for two phases the Smart Cities Mission. Jaipur and Udaipur two cities had fulfilled all the parameters in the stipulated time, enabling them to be selected among the first 20 cities in the country. The central government aims to create 100 such cities, and according to Deloitte, it would require approximately $150bn to make that happen.
